Visual Merchandising Manager

Sidecca, a rapidly expanding mall-based Teen Apparel Retailer is searching for a Visual Merchandise Manager to lead its merchandising team.

Essential Requirements:
• Can merchandise like mad and create amazing visual displays.
• Is passionate about clothes and adores accessories.
• Leads by example, clearly sets goals, and motivates staff.
• Has a strong creative flair and effective problem solving abilities.
• Is self-reliant, self-motivated, and has an ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines without supervision.
• Has the ability to follow both written and verbal instruction with great attention to detail.
• Has excellent organizational skills, can juggle and prioritize several tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Has planning, project management, and time management expertise.
• Possesses good judgment and excellent decision making skills.
• Is able to train and develop staff to carry out merchandising standards.
• Has new ideas on how to build a better mouse trap.
• Walks fast, talks fast and does fast.
• Is computer literate.
• Communicates first-rate both verbally and written (can spell and use correct grammar).
• Values hard-work and a job well-done and never wants to be bored.
• Has 2-5 years merchandising experience for a like retailer.

Physical Requirements:
Because you will be responsible for creating and changing visual displays, you will need to be able to push, lift, and carry 30-50 pounds of merchandise and fixtures. The visual merchandiser position is physically demanding, and you can expect to be on your feet and walking for eight or more hours per day. Climbing ladders is a requirement.

Additional Requirements:
Visual display work often occurs at times when it is the least disruptive to the sales floor and the customer experience. So visual merchandising employees should be prepared to work early morning and late night hours, as well as weekends and holidays. Also, must have the ability to regularly travel to all seven stores.
